Sony Japan is celebrating the release of Gran Turismo 5 the only way it knows how, by releasing a brand new blue PS3.
The Gran Turismo 5 racing pack arrives on November 13 for ¥35,980 ($421), complete with a special “Titanium Blue” 160GB PS3 Slim.
Arriving on the same day is the actual game, which will be available for ¥7,980 ($93), although Sony Japan will also release a Limited run Edition with five DLC cars and a 308-page book, for the same price. ---

Limited Edition version of the console to accompany release of Gran Turismo 5 in Japan
Having dated PS3 racing simulator Gran Turismo 5 for a November 3rd European release, Sony has confirmed that the game will ship on the very same day in Japan.
In addition, the platform holder will be launching a Limited Edition Titanium Blue 160GB PS3 Slim.
The SKU will also include a DualShock 3 controller and, according to Kotaku, a “first run” copy of the game that comes complete with a 308-page book and five free pieces of in-game DLC – the Audi R10 TDI Stealth Model, Honda NSX GT500 Stealth Model, McLaren F1 Stealth Model, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Stealth Model and a Nissan GT-R GT500 Stealth Model. ---
I like the look of the new coloured consoles, except when you look at the dualshock 3 it's actually 2 tone isn't it. C'mon Sony couldn't you have coloured in the buttons and sticks as well? I agree with El Stefio it should have an HDMI cable - these are so cheap now (unless you buy one in Sony packaging then it'll cost you 18 quid!)
SO I wonder if this game really will be the system seller that Sony are hoping for.
Tone I'm mostly jealous of your polyphony dynamic theme! :p
Shouldn't this have a steering wheel with it? Seems a bit sparse.
ReplyDeleteI've never been a big fan of differently coloured consoles, but something about this blue really speaks to me.
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't know about a steering wheel, but no HDMI cable in a GT5 bundle must be some sort of crime.
