RIP Steve Jobs. A Visionary.

  1. good video choice Tone.

Except - I read up on handling of CRT's and they can kill you in 3 ways, even 6 months after last unplugged, so I wouldn't do a lot of that stuff oh no no no.

Seriously re Steve Jobs - the man has made the tech world a better place, even if the company completely shafted iPhone 3G users like me by compulsory updates to iOS4. RIP dude.

  2. Yeah, my 3G has never been the same since iOS4, finally upgrading to the 4S next week though.

Sad news about Steve Jobs, guess he knew he'd only got a short time left when he stepped down a few weeks back.

  3. i use my old iMac Ruby as an mp3 player in my bedroom, it has a 250gb external usb harddrive hooked up to it. those Harmon Kardon speakers still sound good. never felt the need to own an iPhone/Pad though, i'm all about my Netbook these days.

still have a motherboard for the first iMac on my shelf of wonderous things mind.

  5. Off Topic: just got a Freesat installation done, I'm very happy and soon cancelling the Virgin V+. The Humax FOXSAT PVR is a true Rolls Royce bit of kit, fast, functional, great picture and sound - I'm bowled over by it.

  6. nice one Jimmy, i have to say i haven't touched my Vbox since going down the FreeSat route, only things i noticed missing are Dave and Eden, but the expansion of other channels more than makes up for it. I can watch Dave on the TV's built in Freeview anyways. We get Freeview HD here on 23rd Nov.

I did try to cancel my Virgin TV but they now basically give it to me for nothing. i think i pay £2 a month for it with my Broadband + Phone deal.
