  1. i dunno, i'm just not feeling any need to get this. not saying the tech used for facial capture isn't totally awesome, but playing as a 1940/50s cop searching crime scenes, hmmm. seems a bit too much like actual work to be fun.

  5. oh, and i wouldn't worry about the back-up, they reinstall fuck all useful on a new machine (pics/music/video, that's it). i always copy my game save files to a usb after a big session religeously nowdays.

  6. after mindlessly kicking some inanimate objects I went and bought a slim, lasted about an hour before I broke.

absolutely gutted about my saves.. 160hrs of wipeout, my GT5 cars *blubs*, I will have to follow your lead and back up after long sessions now.

Any advice on getting a disk out of the drive?? will I need to take it apart? my uncles got a heat gun and bits so might have to go see him today, see if i can quick fix it..

  7. try the nuke the board fix, if that fails you'll need to dismantle the drive to get the disc out, it's horrific! way too many levers and cogs and springs. took me 10 minutes to get my disc out and about 2hrs to try and get it back together again. :(

really need to try the heat gun fix on my old 60. just keep putting it off.

  8. Yep I saw Dirk Gently too, it was excellent.
Marvzilla - been there mate, good luck with the fix - bare in mind I killed my 60GB attempting a self repair, so if you really need those saves back consider expert help.
