Mike Kebby tells PS3 fans STFU or GTFO

"I just wanted to firstly acknowledge that there was quite a bit of disappointment with last week’s update; whilst we do try and ensure we have great content every week sometimes there will be a lull in the release schedule, so all I ask is that you please be patient with us when we do have quieter weeks." - M Kebby

OK, so he didn't really tell the moaners on the ewwwBLOG Store update to fuck off but i bet he's thought it once or twice since having to make THOSE Thursday updates about the Store, poor bastard, i think he has all our sympathies *stiffleschuckling*

Good shit on the Store this week includes SuperStarDust HD for a meagre £1.59, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift – Wombat Signature Livery Pack for nada, LittleBigPlanet – Solstice Costume A BEARD AND A CAPE!! (for free) what more could you want! and the Jon Bergerman (who you ask) Sticker Pack for LBP also at £1.59.

No Fallout 3 DLC despite being told we would have it in June, today is the last Thursday, followed by a pack a month thereafter. So who's to blame, Bethesda or SCEE? i know who my money's on. Jon Kebby is blaming Bethesda :)

"However, as explained by myself every week in the comments section, we always aim for global releases for Sony content, but for 3rd party publishers it is their decision.."

This is what Bethesda have to say on the subject:

Pete Hines, VP of Bethesda, has said the “finishing touches” are being made to Operation Anchorage on the Playstation 3. No release date has been confirmed, but they had planned for a late June release.

Pete Hines speaking about the PS3, “It’s a different platform with a different way of doing things and it requires special attention and plenty of testing before it’s released. We are trying to put the finishing touches on it now, but as I said above it’s a different task than DLC on another platform, and so there are things we have to finish doing and testing before it’s done on PS3.”

Bethesda thinks the DLC following Operation Anchorage will come every month to six weeks. fingers crossed hey.

  1. Super Stardust HD is a TOTALLY ESSENTIAL GAME - every PS3 owner has to buy this at £1.59 - I know one uberplayer of this who played little else for months and months - it is that good a blaster.

  2. Mr Jimmy...SOLD

    kerching...

I couldn't say no at £1.59 - that's just 9p more than it costs me to get the bus to work everyday!

@Tone - They should no better than to keep you waiting for Fallout DLC.

  3. @ pabloamigo - indeed they should, i've been holding off playing Fallout for a couple of weeks now ready to blow through the awesome 200hrs of gameplay mark with some sexy new content. i've finished the game as a totally evil guy and nailed all the side quests and i've done it with my angelic girl character who managed to overthrow the Enclave just by wearing naughty undies, having a lesbian sidekick (Clover) and chatting mostly, if that didn't do the ttrick a chinese assault rifle round to the head usually worked and she hoovered up the trophies i'd missed after it got that patch ages back. and still i have yet to visit every location on the map, my ultimate goal in that game!

if i had to take one game to a desert island it would have to be Fallout 3.

also looking forwards to Borderlands but that's ages away yet :(

  4. Stardust rules! One of my favourite games since the Amiga golden days. There's a post on the eu blog from one of the House Marque devs (they made the stardust games). It's a great post and he also invites people to let him know what they'd like to see added to the game in the future. This is what sets the eu blog appart from what we had before - Three Speech. Whilst I miss that place for the people there and the banter that we had - the new blog is really delivering on their promises to let us liase with the devs directly.

Yes, and poor Mike Kebby, as time goes on I'm sure he'll get less and less patient with the "fans". I hope they're paying him well!

  5. Notice how the latest articles on the EU blog have a puny number of comments compared to what they were getting just a couple of weeks ago. Perhaps the forum kids are getting bored of it already!

  6. yeah, i've been noticing that, maybe the ADHD has kicked in and they've found something shiny to go stare at :)

  7. Does anyone know whether the other European language blogs will be separate blogs or just a wordpress plugin?

That will hopefully filter some of the idiots out too.

I'll have the kleenex and/or razor blades handy for Thursday, when there's no sign of MGS or an SD demo of Ghostbusters. ;)
