Admin Gets Own DLC

In contrast to Grand Theft Auto IV's seedy biker gang expansion The Lost and Damned, The Ballad of Gay Tony is said to focus on the glitzy "high-end night life" of Liberty City. The second Xbox 360 (timed!) exclusive episode will put players in the role of Luis Lopez, confirming previous rumors, as his part-time hoodlum duties are supplemented by full-time work for nightclub impresario Tony "Gay Tony" Prince.

/// isn't that just fabulous! OK, i figured i'd preempt the 'gay' by posting it myself, hell, it was ok being Fat Tony to my friends.. but Gay Tony? i hope they all suddenly stop reading the interwebs and not notice this news..

  1. ok haha - out the way?

I think this is quite clever of Rock* - the main USP for GTA has been the quality of the scripting, they've pushed the boat out again, I'm intrigued and feel convinced it'll be good, before I've seen more than a shiny logo.

M$ paid out big time for these exclusives, I just hope next GTAV gets the full PS3 treatment, whenever details of that may surface.

  2. Microsoft are starting to p*** me off with their paying-off of publishers to get exclusives on the XBox. Did you know that the Tony Hawk game RIDE (the one with the odd peripheral!) is not coming to PS3 in Britain thanks to Microsoft? So if I want to try this game out I'll have to shell out the extra money to import it. Imagine how much Microsoft would have had to pay for this privilege - millions of pounds maybe? This money would surely be better spent on, I don't know, improving their own gaming portfolio perhaps!!?!?

And I don't know if you guys have seen pictures of the new Zune. Looks vaguely familiar! I know where I've seen that design before - on the ipod! They ripped off the original ipod design with the first Zune and now the Zune HD looks a lot like the current ipod touch. Well as you can tell I'm not a huge fan of Microsoft :)

OK, so it's not all that much like the ipod touch. I guess they're not the only ones to jump on the huge-touch-screen on personal media player band-wagon but as usual, they fail to invent or innovate in any way. I.e. they still suck.

  4. I have a sneaking suspicion these dlc packs will make there way to the ps3 (goty edition or something), after all its a license to print money... (fallout 3 dlc was 360 exclusive...)

@ reakt, sony are just as bad but with worse games! they've made the new ghostbusters game ps3 exclusive in europe, and paid for exclusive dlc for batman arkham asylum... the best thing is that the only reason they do it is to fuel fanboyism and create the illusion that developers prefer one console to another i.e. 'Rockstar came and BEGGED US to let them put the new dlc on the 360 only' despite the fact they paid a good 50 mill for the packs... Fair play to them though...3rd party 360 is trouncing the ps3 atm...

I have a dream...of a one console future, where we can just subscribe and download the games we wanna play (Onlive anybody!)
